Joe Barta has also written an introductory tutorial to javascript. Javascript should not be confused with Java, a totally different programming language related to C++. Javascript is executed (does that sound violent, or what) by your browser, where as a Java program is a stand alone program run on the web server you connect to on the net. To get the full tutorial (which we recommend), you'll have to join Joe's membership area at PageTutor.com. We hope that you can use this introduction to javascript, and that you join up at Joe's. You will be able to purchase printed copies of all his tutorials, or get them on CD-ROM. The CD includes a good clip-art collection as well, which is well worth the price.
